This is what lay outside my door this morning. This is not a black and white picture. This is a very very grey day.

A good day for curling up under a blanket with a hot toddy and reading nothing more challenging than a Miss Marple mystery perhaps. I am on holiday after all. But twas not to be. Too much to do.
I did have a nice lunch with Yoko at Hattifnatt. The cutest cafe ever. You must stoop to get in.

Inside is painted like a tripped out child’s bedroom, and each window has a little garden outside.

We had a yummy but unphotogenic mushroom doria which i may just try at home sometime. It was a layer of tomato-ey rice, then a layer of mushroom and spinach, then a creamy cheesy layer. Perfect for a grey day. More exciting than that was dessert. First look at the lovely tea cup though.

I know what the name in Japanese is, which is just Japanese pronunciation of the French, but I just can’t figure out what the name in French is. Anyway, these are usually chestnut I think, but this one is Pumpkin and Apple with a caramely pastry bottom. It was so good. I vacuumed it up.

After lunch we passed by the local hairdressing condor very big brown bird.

You have one too right?
And look what else i saw on the way home.

Spring is about to be sprung!
