February is gone and the words I would use to describe it include:

fine

okay

what-evs

sigh

At least it’s not dark in the morning any more.

Anyway following is a list of my months pursuits, something I hope to be a semi-regular feature here. This is mainly to aid my addled memory in the years to come. A short, to the point list about what I read, listened to and watched. I see it saving me a lot of time once i retire. I can reminisce in a time efficient fashion, thus freeing up time for bowls, knitting and amateur sleuthing.

Read

Prozac Nation - No no no. Why did I even pick this up?

Barabbas - Am still reading it, but so far very good.

Changing - Liv Ullmann - A bit cringey love thyself hear me roar, but still really interesting.

Twinkle Twinkle - Gentle and nice.

Murder at the Vicarage - I guessed.

Agatha Christie - An Autobiography - So great. I bet she said “stuff and nonsense” all the time.

Heard

Lots of Joe Meek stuff including a childhood favourite:

Francoise Hardy for the first time ever. She is so pretty. Still.

And Os Mutantes. Psychedelic recorder? Yes please!

Saw

A lot of crap telly.

Some good telly.

Jesus Camp - Scary

His Girl Friday - Bolshy

The Long Goodbye - Elliot Gould is so cool.

Pretty In Pink - I can’t believe she butchered Annie Pott’s lovely dress to make that preggy smock.*

Some Kind of Wonderful - Okay

Dig - Heroin-y

Grey Gardens - Beautiful and depressing

This Film Is Not Yet Rated - Cheeky

Well. I really felt like I sat on my arse and did nothing this month, but I guess I was wrong. I sat on my arse and did all those things. Guess I don’t have to feel like my life is slipping away in an unproductive haze then.

So February. How was it for you?

* Um so that wasnt Annie’s dress. My bad.

I personally think that Feb (in the Northern hemisphere) is meant for sitting on your arse!! March is the crossover month where you can feel motivation creeping in your bones, but you can pretty much still sit around on your arse at least half the time and then April hits and the spring wind warms your whole body and you feel like dancing every day….can’t wait for that one!!
